If you’re running Sierra on your Mac, you will be able to run this one as well. Many other discreet changes happened all over the system. It went through a total revamp both visually in its interface and terms of tools and functions available. The most noticeable changes took place in Apple’s Photo App, though. There are also notification controls, and you will experience a boost in performance, too. The users can now control annoying auto-play videos, prevent tracking, and more. They added support for virtual reality headsets as well.īesides that, when it comes to Safari, Mac search engine, there are some notable improvements with the update. These formats compress data - that’s a benefit as files can get huge with ever-rising resolutions. It enables the storage and encryption of a large number of files. The Apple file system is the most significant feature it brought. There are few bells and whistles, but the changes are noticeable and positive. High Sierra emphasizes the already-existing benefits of MacOS previous system, Sierra. Shame on their Corporate Chief Executive Officers for backing this up.In essence, High Sierra took what was good with Sierra and developed it into a more comprehensive software. I hope they realise how bad is making them look and the rhuge amount of waste they will create globally in a few years time with their current wasteful policies. That is not a good brand move in the long-term. Personally, I find companyies like Adobe, and particluarly Apple, to be practising a very unsustainable business policiy, by trying to force their customers to ditch perfectly useful & in working condition computers for newer models just so we can run their software. Figma is free for individuals (freelancers, students, etc) and web based, meaning your computer hardware / sotfware version is not penalised. So the only solution I found is to use Figma instead of XD. I have the same isue and so even if you happen tohave an old version of XD still running you wont be able to use the latest Material Design Kits from Google and iOS. There is no solution from Adobe nor from Apple as of 1st March 2021.
